Tag commit in VSCode

I am trying to Create a Tag Commit in Git via VSCode. VS code’s built in Git has a commit option. But How to create a Tag Commit via VS Code

  • Is there a simple way to “git describe” a remote repository?
  • Gitolite asking for git ssh password on localhost
  • Git pull not updating, repo inconsistent?
  • Git removing upstream from local repository
  • Capistrano release not publishing
  • How to remove a pushed commit on GitHub?
  • How to configure git repository to warn/reject when commits contain certain keywords
  • amending a single file in a past commit in git
  • Non-project files in Xcode git repository
  • Azure - deploying from Bitbucket
  • Git push failed: can not push specific file to remote repo
  • What is the use of “git checkout -f” when “git status” shows tracked file changes on all branch
  • One Solution collect form web for “Tag commit in VSCode”

Open the command line in the git repo and type “git tag mytag”.

There is currently no way to add a tag inside of the VS Code test editor.

Git Baby is a git and github fan, let's start git clone.
