Pull a branch of a “podified” project on github

I would like to pull a branch of a github project instead of the master. Somebody know how to do it without being obliged to fork the master and merge the branch with the master on my own ?

pod ‘MagicalRecord’, :git => ‘https://github.com/nhenin/MagicalRecord.git’

  • Cocoapods with private git repository
  • Xcodebuild fails in jenkins with cocoapods
  • Added pod files and pushed. How to undo? how to use gitignore in Xcode & github?
  • The dependency `AFNetworking (~> 2.5)` is not used in any concrete target
  • CocoaPods: point to a branch in pod spec
  • How to make git ignore changes in case?
  • TortoiseGit 1.7.8: “Couldn't load this key” on “sync” or “pull”?
  • How do I find common files changed between git branches?
  • git: symlink/reference to a file in an external repository
  • git-subtree conflict when pulling from central repo
  • Git Push Server doesn't update working branch

    Take a look at the docs on the Wiki, it has some extra options for you such as picking a specific commit.

    This pull request made this possible. Documentation does not seem to be up-to-date though.

    Here is how to do it:

    pod 'JSFooBar', :git => 'https://github.com/joelso/JSFooBar.git', :branch => 'develop'
