Latest commit hash of subdirectory

I need to check latest changes in a subdirectory of a git repo. I would like to get the latest commit info in one line (sha, author, message, and may be date). Is it possible?

  • Ignore text=auto in .gitattributes file
  • How can I pull the changes from GitHub without pushing mine?
  • Making git checkout play nicely with filewatchers
  • Git branching stategy for feature branches and common code
  • composer.json specifies dependency, but no composer.lock was found
  • Using Xcode to merge current branch into Master
  • Upgrading an existing Perforce depot to use GitSwarm
  • Remove all deleted files from “changed but not updated” in Git
  • Check if pull needed in Git
  • Creating a 'git log' alias with formatting
  • Bitbucket Server Pull Request
  • Git format-patch to be svn compatible?
  • One Solution collect form web for “Latest commit hash of subdirectory”

    git log -n 1 --format="%h %aN %s %ad" -- $directory
