'git pull' does not update changes from remote branch

I have setup my local branch to track remote branch.

when I do git pull, it said ‘Already up-to-date’.

  • Apply commits from one git repository to subfolder of another repository
  • Grep tags for a git repo from gitlab/github
  • Disable “Accept Merge Request” button based on GitLab CI status and/or SonarQube results
  • Is it possible to have a Git repo combined from multiple repos?
  • Showing git branch in shell prompt?
  • What is the workflow for maintaining a forked git repository?
  • But when I do git log, the latest checkin is on Dec 21, 2012′.

And when I do git log remotes/branch1 (the branch I am trying to track), the latest checkin is on Jan 7, 2013′.

Why I don’t get changes check in? How can I fix it?

    Thank you.

  • Git push failing after Heroku app name change
  • Git cannot lock ref 'HEAD': unable to resolve reference HEAD
  • Split git repo in a squashed public and initial private
  • Comparing changes in commits to the current file by Git
  • Not possible to fast-forward even with no changes

you need to set up tracking. Use git branch --set-upstream remotes/branch1. Although your remote doesn’t look ok. It should be origin/branch.
