GIT, Do I move source code back to master? and How

I am new to git and I am just learning..

I setup a github project to test and I been working local to..

  • Git bash won't let me pull
  • What is the equivalent to “svn propget svn:executable” in git?
  • git tf configure command error (git-tf nothing to configure)
  • How do I revert my changes to a git submodule?
  • Git LFS skipped files
  • Git force overwrite of local tracked files but not local untracked files
  • I hear that you should never work out of the master and it should be production ready. so I did the following

    I did a

    git branch myfix
    git checkout

made my changes and did a

    git commit -a

but how do I tell it to move my code into the master branch?

  • How to push a new local repository in github account from ubuntu terminal?
  • VSTS missing certain build flag: env:BUILD_SOURCEVERSIONMESSAGE
  • Should the Git repository root be the same as the project root on our IDE?
  • Error: Unable to access jarfile bfg.jar - BFG
  • someone sent me to pull his changes . However I am not able to add my name to that commit
  • Using GitHub, how do I enable the function that requires me to login every time I push

    git checkout

    should actually be

    git checkout myfix

If you did in fact do this then you can “move” the code into the master branch like so

    git checkout master
    git merge myfix
