git command not recognisable in android studio terminal

I have just downloaded android studio as well as git.exe also. I have updated path in version control–>>git also with appropriate git.exe path and tested and it is successful. Now from terminal when I type git clone http://my projectlink, it says
“‘git’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.”

Am I missing anything else?

  • Git: track or untrack Android API keys?
  • Strange xml error: Incorrect line ending
  • embed version details in android APK
  • Android support library setup with maven
  • How to set path in Jenkins for directory having Android AVD?
  • Integrate Visual Studio online Git Repository to Android Studio 1.0.2
  • Git: What does EXACTLY “git pull” do?
  • Auto generate/remove jenkins jobs
  • git creates files ending in ~?
  • Messed up local git repository - how to “revert a revert” to match last remote commit again?
  • git diff - show only what's new on the remote
  • Git Bash (1.9.0) using Windows Explorer intergration crashes folder explorer
  • 2 Solutions collect form web for “git command not recognisable in android studio terminal”

I found the simple solution here.

    Go to File–> Settings–>Terminal–>Shell Path –> Browse–> path of git bash.exe–>Apply–>OK

    enter image description here

Now Restart the Android studio effect changes.

That’s it. Now you can use terminal as git bash..

You need to set Environment Variable path for your git.exe.

    Right-Click on My Computer
    Click Advanced System Settings
    Click Environment Variables

Then under System Variables look for the path variable and click edit
Add the path of git’s bin to the end of the string.

Git Baby is a git and github fan, let's start git clone.
