Creating patch from merge request

We have several teams merging changes to the same branch. I have to recommit selective merge requests to another branch. Is there a way to create patch from individual merge requests in git hub?

  • New to git.. Do I always have to do a “git fetch” everything my notebook gets on network
  • Using Git with Visual Studio
  • Easiest or best way to keep in sync a msysgit repository between three internal Windows-based notebooks?
  • Cant create TFS Work Items, Denied Access to registry key that doesn't exist
  • git add -p --ignore-submodules?
  • Using cloud-init to clone git repo when launching AWS EC2 instance
  • how to know the tag url from stash

  • In Git, how can we find some commit details on *.sql files committed in the last 3 months with a table name?

    You can do:

     # Perform the merge:
    git checkout master
    git merge feature
... resolve conflicts or whatever ...
    git commit, # Format a patch: git log -p --pretty=email --stat -m --first-parent origin/master..HEAD > feature.patch
    git am feature.patch
